Story

The Boat & Horses is much more than just a pub, we hold community events, classes and functions for lots to enjoy; the type of pub that locals and visitors want to use and be a part of.

For whatever reason customers come into our pub – be it a quiet pint on their own to read the paper, a family get together for a bite to eat, or a group of friends meeting up for a few drinks, we aim to ensure they enjoy their experience and want to come back again and hopefully bring their friends/family with them next time. We want them to tell others about what a nice place the Boat & Horses is to be, whatever you are looking for.

Our menu offers traditional homemade pub favourites including fish & chips, pies and Sunday Carvery! Also sweet and savoury snacks, desserts and fresh coffee. We have also just launched our new loyalty cards, so that when you buy 6 main meals, desserts or coffees – you get the seventh one free! (Burgers and pizzas included!)

We have a large function suite for hire called ‘The Stables’, with its own bar and stage – please contact the pub for further details or to make a booking. All events catered for including parties, weddings, wakes, conference facilities, group/club meetings etc.

We have a range of draught lagers and beers, including 3 cask ales, one of which changes weekly. Also a large selection of spirits, including 10 different gins!

We can also offer BT and Sky Sports, Pool, Darts and Skittles!
