Bar & cafe open from 8am for breakfast & coffee and until late for cocktails, craft beers & food.

Story

Here at Rye Cafe & Bar all of our dishes are freshly cooked on site by our team. As well as the usual classic dishes your would expect to find on a cafe menu, we also offer a range of ever-changing daily specials.

We will also be very happy to advise you on any dietary or allergy information that you may need. Please just ask a member of the Rye team. We also offer gluten free bread as an alternative to any of our baguettes.

We are proud to serve coffee supplied by artisan roasters, 200 Degrees Coffee Roasters, who deliver freshly roasted beans to us every week. We are currently serving their house blend of Brazilian, Vietnamese and Colombian beans as our espresso, and an Indian mountain water decaf. All our coffee is ground fresh to order.

Good experience overall.Nice and busy sort of contemporary cafe bar. Do not expect fast food service as it is place to meet friends and have a chat when having drink (hot/cold) and bite to eat. I mentioned food too so they are trying to satisfy meat lovers as well as meat nonbelievers. It is family friendly place so all members of family including four leg ones are welcome. As place to pop in and enjoy music, drink, night and chat serves well.

Nice setting and the coffee is decent (local 200 degrees brand). The service could always be better as I felt that we were being pushed to order food when I mainly came in for coffee. Ended up ordering fish & chips and, while it was tasty, I felt it was too small a portion size for the price and that it tried too hard to be up-market and classy; it fell short of my expectations. I wouldn't be eager to come back, but it is one of the few cafes in the area that offer Wi-Fi, so that's another plus.

Great for drinks but personally find the food over priced and not too well cooked. Shame as it's a nice setting. Service can also be a bit slow.

Rye (Belle and Jerome as was) used to be great but now the menu is stale and the service is often poor. There are now better cafés nearby. I hope this competition encourages Rye to up their game.
