Popped in for lunch whilst in the area, ordered mixed starters, Caesar salad and a few other things. Staff were friendly, service was good, food came out quickly and was very good. Salad was plentiful and tasty, other guests enjoyed their meals too. Would go back
I treated my husband and I for his 60th birthday treat. We were not disappointed! The food and service were excellent! Highly recommended and we will be back! Possibly the best steak I’ve ever had

The star… should be called the shining star!!!! Was welcomed and taken care of by the lovely Emma with the sock and croc combo. I’ve never seen her before now and my goodness! I’ll be back again! Exceptional service, had given me advice as I’d just come from a wedding and my kilt wasn’t fitting correctly aswell as pouring one of the best guinnesses I’ve ever had! 5 STARS all round.nFood and atmosphere were also brilliant! Amazing as always! nI come to The Star quite often and every single visit is consistently lovely. The food is always delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented — it never disappoints. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, which is why it’s one of my go-to places.nnA special shout out to our server today, Vicki, who was extremely lovely and attentive throughout our visit. She made us feel really well looked after and added to the whole experience.nnHighly recommend to anyone looking for great food and friendly service — we’ll definitely be back again soon!
