The Wych Elm is a lovely family pub situated in Burntwood. We have a large patio area, perfect for a glass of wine or a beer on long summer days and with our carvery we offer freshly prepared, high quality pub food at very reasonable prices. The Wych Elm is the perfect pub for all the family, as we also sell top quality cask ales, beers and a wide range of wines and minerals. Came here to have lunch with my friend. Been many times before. Couldn't fault anything. We both had scampi and chips with Jam sponge pudding for pudding. Very tasty. Prices reasonable. Will b back again soon.
We went here for my great nans birthday and we ordered at 17:39 and food didn’t come until over an hour later so we waited then eventually the man at the bar went to get it. I get that there was only one person at the bar but when the food came out it was cold and nobody ate it accept from the kids because they were starving all the food the adults and me had even my dog would turn his nose up to the meals the service was shocking and the man on the bar was moody and used his attitude to us then proceeded to use attitude to me when I said I was leaving a review
Brilliant staff and nice atmosphere, went for food with friends and everything was perfect!ngreat beer garden, we had a very pleasant experience.nnFriends and children enjoyed the outdoor play area, advantage was that it was closed in and we could watch from table.nnWe had a lovely time today being sat outside while we enjoyed our lunch and we will definitely be returning.
Me and a friend went yesterday to get a late lunch.nnEverything was fine untill I noticed the burger was soft, and pink in the middle. My friend thought I should stop eating but I thought it was okay like steak, and kept eating.nnI have a terrible stomach ache now, and after research, know that burgers need to be thoroughly cooked through.nnMy first time dining here, severely dissapointing and concerning.
Surf and turf is delicious! meats were cooked to perfection.nnFriendly staff, clean and relaxed environment.nnThank you for a delicious meal!
