Visited June 2018. We got the tasting menu and a variety of small dishes with different flavours were served. Some of these were delicious but others slightly disappointing, especially the crisp red mullet which was practically raw and difficult to eat. They also came round with a cheese board for us to select in the middle of the meal, but then we realised when the bill came it wasn’t even included in the tasting menu They should have made this clear. The service was exceptional and you couldn’t fault it, but the food was disappointing for the prices.
It’s like dating a high end super model that doesn’t laugh at any of your jokes. Fancy food =/= tasty food. Yes this is a Michelin star restaurant. The dishes certainly looked unique. But the taste didn’t justify the price. The wine they offered was good, and the food looks amazing, it’s great to take them out and show them off to people. At the end it’s what’s on the inside that matters and the dishes tasted like a load of tasteless fancy ingredients thrown together in to a pretty looking lump.
We went for set lunch that included starter, main course and desert. Withing the experience it's included the amuse bouche and chocolates at the end. I have mixed feelings since it was really nice, staff and service very correct and friendly however, food wise wasn't extraordinary or something I will remember and wish to come back. Flavours were there, but sometime dishes were in the verge of being cold. Maybe the tasting menu it's better.
it's been a lovely experience. the tasting menu is delicious, and the quality of the food is among the highest. the staff is professional and kind. One star is not enough!
Food was faultless, but service was very mixed to be honest, which was a surprise. Still we had a good evening with some stunning food. Would still recommend, would've been five stars if the service had been on form, such a shame.
Good food, but some of the dishes could do with a little more work so that all the elements work together better. The private dining room we were in was nice. The wine available by the glass wasn't really what I would go for, but what I did compromise on was nice. Service as good, but not great. For example a batch of bread and butter was brought, then later more butter, then later still more bread. Some idea of what was to come, apart from the menu items, would be nice. Oh, and some better butter. The butter tasting I did in France may have ruined me, but I can get better butter than this in Tesco or Waitrose.
Service ***** = Excellent, friendly attentive staff. Food **** = Flavour of the food was very good, presentation of some was questionable, my mushroom & hazelnut starter looked like an unappetising grey foam. Atmosphere*** = The minimal interior was probably designed to create a modern, sleek vibe, but it was lacking in energy, they need background music and/or some art on the walls.
Absolutely one of the best dining experiences we have had in years. Every course was exquisite and perfection. The service was brilliant as well. Can't wait to go back. I'd give it 10 stars if I could!
We had the 7 course vegetarian menu and it was equisite. Highly recommended for fine dining if you're vegetarian too!
Amazing food and perfect service. Definitely worth a visit
