The food presentation was impeccable and delicate for West African cuisine. However, I found the flavour incredibly bland and lacking seasoning to enhance the taste of these well loved dishes. Overall, the restaurant has a nice ambiance and vibe. I hope on my next visit the chef isn't too modest with adding flavour to the dishes.Food: 4/5
Great food and great ambience! Starters were a little off from what I expected especially the lamb croquette. I found that it wasn't the price tag considering I got two croquette with a tiny bit of salad. I say that because I really loved the taste of the salad! The mains were definitely the highlight of the evening! The portions compared to starters were very generous and the taste was spot on! We got chicken suya and fish dish I can't recall the name but it was excellent! Customer service was also fantastic!
Stork were brilliant in communication, service and the food and cake were wonderful! I couldn't recommend this place more - all my guests loved the restaurant and some have already made their own future bookings! Thank you to the brilliant team who were attentive and the little details such as the birthday card and the take away bags for the cake! Had an amazing time and will return!
The whole experience was incredible the food was great, I love the different takes on the dishes. It is not original dishes so if you after that you will be disappointed but if your up for trying new versions of classic African meals you'll love it. Word to this those that like there food hot/pepper hot like me, it isn't made like that so you may need to ask for chilli i hot fresh Chili & it did the trick. The service from the moment we stepping in until the moment we left, the decor, the toilet, the take away container & bag, everything is immaculate. I'm already planning my next visit!!
Went here to celebrate my birthday and the food was lovely and interior was lush. However, a few oddities with the service. I was brought my ice cream dessert before the mains because the pastry chef may have been going home early ?. The complimentary birthday plate was a nice touch, but the waiter bought it over singing “happy birthday to …. Who?”. Funny but quite awkward as you’d imagine. You’d get better birthday service at TGI Friday. Overall, nice food but the service didn’t stand out for me - and especially wasn’t what I would have expected in Mayfair. Would revisit in hope of better service. EDIT: They were flexible about the table time and allowed me to change quite last minute, so have changed rating to a 4.
Love love Stork! From the music to the staff and the food. Customer service is so great!!! Tanya was so nice and accommodating. Our server don’t remember his name, but he’s Jamaican was so friendly with a positive attitude! He brought in all the good and positive vibes! The manager was so nice. We were running late and the kitchen was closing, but the manager made sure we settled in and order our food. Plus we got a bottle of champagne because of an initial confusion with our reservation. Just really amazing! Oh and the ambience is everything! I will recommend anything on the menu. We were a party of 8 and everyone liked their food. For desert, order this in the picture. SO good!!
Really appreciated how so much of the menu was halal. I love how friendly everyone was both the customers and the waiters, the atmosphere and ambience was very warm. Our waiter was very thoughtful - to ensure I had a good Mocktail, he first made me to options for me to try which he then made based on my feedback, which I thought was outstanding customer service and not some thing, anyone has ever done for me, despite the fact that I go out to eat very often. Great job with keeping true to the pan-African concept from-menu creation to the atmosphere to the drinks. Perhaps a few more vegetarian options would’ve been nice for my friend, other than that great restaurant, great portions and great service!
It was okay, doubt I’ll return. The food was alright, nothing outstanding or extremely tasty. Service was a bit slow, we would’ve ordered more cocktails but not able to due to slow service. The toilets are very very small. One member of staff mixed/ light skin woman with hair wrap almost pushed me and my friend on the floor as she was trying to restock the tissue. No excuse me or anything and I believe she could’ve waited till there was more room, seen as there was no tissue shortage. We was there for my friends birthday and they charged us £60 to cut the cake there!! £60! I just feel that price is a bit steep. Nice decor is a bit small out server was nice.
Everything about the experience was great. The welcome greeting, the decor, the music, the service, the food - all great. The waiter was extremely helpful with the menu and choices and had alot of patience with our indecisive nature's! The food was absolutely delicious, I had the Ravioli to start and the Snapper for main with sides of Jollof, Black Bean Humous and Red Red- they gave us a free portion of Plantain too! Would definitely recommend, I want to come back for the Friday DJ atmosphere - looks like it would be a wicked night!
Me and a couple of friends came to Stork Restaurant for dinner, to celebrate my birthday after a relaxing day at the spa. The staff were welcoming and polite, the service was good, we really enjoyed the food and the drinks- our waitress was attentive and professional. I appreciate the birthday dessert and the extra cocktail That was nice of the Stork Team - I would definitely come back again :
