Food was delicious, decor is lovely and the service was fantastic. Kirsty was a lovely waitress! Super attentive to the kids and was brilliant with us adults; making sure we had exactly what we wanted. Highly recommend!
Awful fish and chips - had to send fish back as there was more batter than fish - how it got out of the kitchen I’ve no idea. Staff were helpful in replacing meal when we eventually caught their attention - but that fish still had a fair amount of batter and air instead of fish. Meals aren’t cheap so really expect better. Decided to order dessert so asked for menu - 20 minutes later managed to catch attention of same waitress who said she thought we had menus already… Not a great first experience of visiting this pub. Staff were friendly and welcoming which mitigated the bad food experience somewhat - but for a lovely looking pub with a great atmosphere they really need to get the food quality right first time…
Service from staff was excellent but food was very disappointing. My friend and I only wanted something light to eat, we definitely received light. We both ordered the King prawn and crab cocktail starter. 6 of the smallest king prawns I have ever seen, 1 piece of crab. Also had to clean the prawns. I have eaten at the Snowy Owl and had a wonderful experience but not this time. Would not recommend this starter.
One of my favourite places locally. Friendly service, great food... even for veggies and a great location
Beautiful country pub and one of the best breakfasts I think I have ever had!! Fully recommend the beetroot hash as an added extra. Staff are so friendly, warm, welcoming and just idyllic in setting.
Really enjoyed our meals, service was quick, parking plentiful, staff lovely...hard to fault. Even had Live music, which was fab. Would 100% recommend and we will definitely return
Great place, lovely atmosphere, lovely friendly staff. Food is always lovely. Highly recommend and deffo be visiting again
My sister & her husband plus my wife & myself. Once at the booking desk/Barr we were showing to our table we managed to get a drinks. Then booked our starters and main meal. After two other couples on different tables. Book death old a lot later than us. But was served a lot less time than us. I asked what was the delay and the waitress informed us they run out of cheese. Once I start this game, the food was very nice when our main meal came. The young lady asked if we wanted any condiments we asked for mayonnaise to go with our burgers, various drinks and water for myself. After they come to remove our dishes, we still never had our mayonnaise plus water. After we paid the bill of £140 my wife and sister we’re gonna leave a tip. I said not to because of the lack of service, dry food and attention to detail. Due to this, we will not be returning for anything to eat in this restaurant area again.
Booking a table online was very easy and confirmation was imminent. We were slightly early to our booking but they accommodated us quickly. Dog friendly. Quick to take drinks and food order although it did take a bit of time for the drinks to arrive after ordered. Friendly staff, very welcoming. Starters were delicious although the portion size on the Prawns/Scallops was poor compared to the price. It was absolutely delicious however. Mains portion size was perfect and quality of food was lovely. Cosy atmosphere which is perfect after walking around all day. Despite it being a chain pub, it did not feel like it. Would highly recommend.
It's off the beaten track but its superb. Upon finding this place it had ample parking and looked pleasant from the outside. The inside was very nicely furnished and its surroundings were cosy. We went to the bar ordered drinks and then a server came and sat us down. It took about half hour for our server to come back and take our order. I ordered the fish and chips and my friend ordered the pie and veg. The service was a bit slow and the food took a while but if it was homemade I dont mind the wait. It tasted homemade and fresh so definitely doing something right. Both meals were outstanding. All in all a pleasant experience and will be back. Been back again today for sunny lunch 3rd July 22. Sat in the bar area as we hadn't prebooked our seats. Still comfy and service was great. I ordered pork belly and my friend had Hunters Chicken schnitzel. Will definitely return. Plus I think it was Jimmy said we could return as we were easy customers lol
