We are many things to many people!
For those that love their sport Football, Cricket and especially Rugby we are the best place to relax and watch the game in our front sports bar . If you're not a fan our lounge bar is all you need to enjoy a glass of wine to the sound of Classical,Jazz or easy listening music.
If you are away on business we have 6 rooms Ideal for the prefect stay over.
For those who are passionate about their beer we are the place that consistently scores 100% on our cask marquee accreditation and always serves up the perfect pint.
And for those that want their local to be a place they always get a warm welcome and meet like minded people for a glass we are just the pub you are looking for!!

Treated my family to a tasting menu dinner here. All the waiting staff were very helpful and attentive throughout the meal, the food was outstanding and we all loved every mouthful. The wine pairings were also excellently selected as each wine complemented the course perfectly.nI will definately be visiting again!
Had family Sunday lunch here today, was absolutely superb! Pre ordered a special fish dish, whole baked on the bone brill - finest fish dish we ever had! Sunday roast that our son said was the best chicken he has ever had, and a fantastic venison pie. Service was very attentive and friendly, and a great wine menu.nn5* Plus!!!!
We had the tasting menu, it was excellent food with brilliant service and relaxed atmosphere.nnThe quality and imagination of flavours in the menu really was impressive, such great dishes on every course and amazing value for the standard of food and overall experience.nnWill definitely be back, every week if I could! Keep up the great work guys.
We had the dinner tasting Menu. They accommodated a food intolerance from one of our party, the service staff were great, friendly, engaging. The Atmosphere was nice. The food was amazing. Would definitely recommend.
As a family of 4 we had dinner on the last Wednesday of the month which is the steak night. I’ve heard lots of good things about the food and a comment that it’s nearing a Michelin star.nnThe food was very good but not amazing and nowhere near Michelin standard in my opinion. We were offered pink or well done for our steak and when I asked if this was medium the waitress said yes. It was cooked medium rare which is fine for me but I had a wife and 2 children that would have preferred it cooked for a few mins more. I’m unsure why it can’t be cooked to the diners taste, nor why the staff aren’t aware of how it’s going to be served.nnThe main observation is that the staff are friendly and relaxed but need more training. The above as an example and in addition no one took our coats but I then witnessed other tables being offered this. My paper napkin was dropped on the floor and then handed back to me rather than giving me a new one, water wasn’t poured for us and lastly one waiter in particular lacked any real knowledge of how to correctly serve or clear plates.nnOverall I was expecting better and it sadly underdelivered on a special occasion. It was expensive for what it was and I really hoped it was going to impress me.
