Situated in an 18th century former coach house overlooking Leyton Green in central Harpenden, our restaurant has a delightful rural character and feel. Guests can enjoy courtyard dining in the charming walled garden and private dining in our separate first floor room. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Had a wonderful dinner here with friends. The restaurant was very busy, and the service was excellent, but a bit slower than we would have liked. However, a good atmosphere and delicious food. All dishes ordered were delight and full of flavour.

Great local restaurant, friendly staff, food reasonably priced and very good. Usually gets quite busy so best to book in advance. It’s quite a small restaurant so not that much room for pushchairs, they managed to accommodate us as it was a late lunch but usually you have to leave pushchairs outside which would be the only downside.

The service was lovely, but the food and drinks were a bit hit and miss. The seafood stew was far too rich and salty, and the Wienerschnitzel was presented really poorly. The steak was great, as was the parsnip soup. Lemon posset was awesome, but the Black Forest cheesecake didn't have anything to do with its namesake cake, and the crumble had weird marmalade instead of nice fruits in it. This is now the third time we've been here, with same 50/50 success rate, and decided it's not really worth it unfortunately :(
