Story

Hungry? Food served 12pm till 9pm everyday. From 12 till 3pm Monday to Friday is lunch club, only £7.50 for any pizza, salad or bread with a selected drink. All 12" pizza's are 241 on tuesdays. You can get 20% off selected food and drinks with our Slice loyalty card, available for free at the bar. Thirsty? All cocktails are 241 on Thursdays and don't forget about the slice card 20% saving! Our expert bartista lovingly serve only the finest Segafredo coffee all day from 10am. Whatever your reason for coming you will love what we have done with the George since our refurbishment in April 2011, we are the biggest and best in town so see you here next time you are in town!

I just visited the George as I was on my way through Harpenden, and wow what an unexpected experience my group and I had, we’ve only been here once before a few years ago and I must admit what an improvement in everything, the food was incredible! I was told that they’ve just started a new menu and it has everything we all wanted a very well put together menu, service was very attentive and understood my groups needs to an incredible standard, never left us waiting for anything! We all spoke about how we all will be returning again. Well done to the whole team at The George! Were a fussy bunch to please, would give it a 6 star if we could
Visted the George with some friends for a quick meal before heading on. The staff were very attentive and very friendly which is always very welcoming. My friends and I shared a few small plates including the padron peppers and the garlic bread which were all amazing, the wait for food was not long at all, and drinks came very fast after ordering them. Great selection of drinks, and the cocktails were yum! The ladies behind the bar were very friendly and efficient so thank you Holly and Maddie. We will be returning to try more of the menu.
5/5* a lovely place, a great atmosphere and a lovely team. Came in for some dinner, didn’t have a booking, but was very welcomed by the team. The restaurant area is lovely, a very calm atmosphere. The menu is full of good choices, took me a while to choose, however I went for the ham egg and chips, which I was told was a new item on the menu and it definitely was a good choice, large portion and was delicious. A special mention to the waitress holly who did a fab job, great recommendations and made sure we had everything we need. Headed to the bar after our meal and enjoyed that very much too, great bar staff and very quick service. Overall, can’t recommend the george more!
Had a lovely experience there the other day, got some drinks with my friends, and had a wonderful time. We were served by Jess who was very kind and approachable. Will definitely come again!!
The starter was chicken which was so good, main was linguine, and dessert was crumble with ice cream. All of it was amazing
