I spent an amazing night here at The Silly Goose! The barman was the best, he was funny and hard-working. This is one of the coolest pub I've been in Cork: the pink-ish neon lights make everything look cozier and intimate. We tried different beers, and I have, personally, loved the Rebel Red. We also played Jenga because the pub has few Jenga boxes while drinking our beer and having a chat.
Was here on Sunday for special deal, burger n cocktail for only 15 euro. Great service and food, the portion was worth the price. Will definitely go again
Pretty nice location. Definitely for a younger crowd overheard someone say they were old at 20. Pre 10.30 it is dead, post 10.30 it picks up. Bar tenders seem unsure about cocktails, but long island ice tea is very good very strong
Best pub in Cork. Johnno and all the lads involved are brilliant. Really friendly and very good to their customers. Couldn't recommend it enough. Keep up the great work guys.
Best bar in Cork! Only a year old with young owners. Place is decorated so well, real love has gone into it! Staff are so friendly. My favorite bar in Cork hands down!
Really nice atmosphere, very clean and great music. Visited from Belfast and we were looking for somewhere not too loud or overcrowded. Perfect!
Staff were lovely, pints were good, overall the group enjoyed the meal but there was no options for someone on a coeliac or gluten free diet.
It was a dark and stormy night. I was after a two day gaffer and was crawling home, broken umbrella in hand, trying fruitlessly to keep my TKMaxx bag from disintegrating in the rain when all of a sudden our protagonist descends out of the night. I try desperately to nurse my sad umbrella back to its healthy, erect self when Silly Goose manager Brian appears beside me, like an angel sent from god himself, and whispers into my ear what any self respecting man wants to hear at 1am in the morning “Want to split a cab ?”. I rummage through my soggy wallet and produce a measly 35cent. I had spent the remainder of my funds for the week on a 70cl from Lidl and a 12 pack of Tesco larger and had planned on using this 35 cent to split a loaf of sliced pan with my roommate for the rest of the week. It was Wednesday. Silly Goose manager Brian smiles and says “man you’re grand, can’t be walking home in this weather” I am rating the Silly Goose 5 stars solely on the pretence that if their food and drink is as good as their staff then it’d be Christmas dinner every evening and creamy pints to follow.
A small pub, cozy with the funkiest DJ I've found on Saturdays. If you want a chill night with funky electronic music with the mates, don't pass this place up
Great Bar, Great beer, Great food. The chicken wings are the best in town try with the Cottonball Mayfield 5 gluten free Craft beer mmmmmm!!!!
