First impressions were of a lovely place to eat. The food was good but service slow. We ordered of off a lunch (two course,) menu. Most of the deserts were unavailable. We were offered a choice of other deserts. We then had a change of server. From that point everything from service to the presentation of food went downhill. Although they did accommodate my allergies and changed the fruit on my coconut sorbet. It arrived in a breakfast type bowl with a tiny handful of blueberries. I would not even serve this this way to my grandchildren as it looked unappealing. Afterwards they tried to charge us not for the lunchtime set menu bur as separate dishes. Many excuses later and it finally got resolved. Would I eat there again. NO.

Visited The Shy Horse yesterday for the first time as I found out they offered a vegan menu. The pub is beautiful, with a really nice atmosphere and very friendly and accommodating staff. The vegan menu selection is amazing - so much choice and a selection of puddings (which is rare). The food was superb, lots of flavour and I was very impressed. It's very much appreciated that a regular pub has such a great choice for vegan's, I will most certainly be returning to sample the rest of the menu. Great experience and yummy food. Thank you.

Nice and cosy English pub. Nice dinner - had their venison and rabbit dish - very comforting food at reasonable prices. Friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. Would come back here again for dinner. They also have ample parking spaces.

Lovely cosy interior with a proper fireplace. A dog friendly pub so it's a great advantage. The food however was a bit disappointing. Not that it wasn't nice - it was, but nothing special and too expensive for what you actually get. (A point for acknowledging vegan options on the menu though).

Had a few drinks here with snacks. Lovely pub and garden. Welcoming staff. Would be happy to return!
