Very cosy restaurant / bar.nWas hosting Xmas dos, but they found a table for me in the corner. Food was nice and fresh, a little pricey, but not too much. They serve it on a flat slate which I was not expecting. Burger and fries, tasty, but would have benefited from a bit of salad or coleslaw even. The beer was cold and refreshing and reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere, and the young staff were very friendly and helpful. Went here after riding the camel trail.nnLovely atmosphere here in this multi level pub/inn.nnWe ate in the middle part and had great tasting food an drinks.nnAs a starter I ate the duck which was simply excellent.nnAt the higher elevated part a group was singing sea shanties. Enjoyed that untill the shut the door. But it gave a nice local touch to our visit.nnService was good and fast, the girls did a good job.
Loved the cosy traditonal pub vibes with gastro food energy wasn't expecting the wide range of delicious fresh foodie options, will definitely be returning to try more of what they have to offer.nnWould recommend:nUglow Farm Belly Pork BitesnMac & Cheese CroquettesnCornish Brown Crab LinguinenTheir pies which are giants!
Interesting pub with two separate rooms for dining. Menu was not extensive, which is probably a positive, and the dishes sampled were of decent quality with appropriate flavours. Service was good from a pleasant and professional staff member whilst the atmosphere was calm and conducive to over the table conversation between diners.nPrices were average across the menu, and portion sizes were more than adequate
We booked a reservation for Saturday evening, they were short staffed so a little wait to be seated maybe 10 minutes at most Once seated our drinks came quickly and so did the food. Our server was lovely and attentive. The food here was absolutely delicious, especially the belly pork starter, just incredible. Have attached some photos of meals we had. We would definitely return here. Many thanks to the chefs.
