Had the fish and chips. Very nice food and pleasant staff Bit slow with the cutlery, couple minutes after food came out . Really full up now , big piece of fish!! No lock on cubical in gents

We had a special birthday here with family. We booked with Abby who made the booking very simple and exactly what we were looking for. We arrived on the evening, and Abby was there looking after us and nothing was too much trouble for her or the team. She made the birthday meal a memorable occasion and everyone enjoyed the meal and we all agreed we would love to go back there for another meal soon. The food arrived hot and on hot plates, and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back again soon!

After a few lovely takeaways during Covid we decided to try dining in and it was lovely! The food was amazing and the waitress was very attentive and even managed to make our little one engage with her, very rare! Service was quick and they sorted it so we could go and get our carvery once the kids meal came out so we all ate together. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer atmosphere and would definitely go back!

We had a Christmas get together with friends. We had the carvery which was not great. The vegetables were dry, the stuffing and sausages were cold and there was no crackling to go with the pork. We were sat in the bay window seat and it was so cold. We asked the waitress to put the heat up but were told it was always like this. We felt the radiator and it was cold. The waitress offered to move us but there was only another bay window to sit in. We did move but it was not much better and by the time we left we were so cold. Very disappointed that the radiators were not on, particularly when there was snow outside. It was warm near the carvery but elsewhere it was cold. I will not be going back during the winter or to have the carvery. I have eaten there several times during the summer and the food off the menu was good. The service from our waitress was excellent.

Very nice lunch with bestie. Food was very good, we both had liver and bacon with mash and peas, it was delicious and something different from the usual burgers or pizza. The autumn Berry cheesecake was also delicious. Will definitely visit again.Food: 5/5

We booked a table for a couple of hours today after the lockdown lifted on retail and outdoor dining. It was a really pleasant experience with both the service and the food. Our waiter Charlie really made us feel at home and was really speedy with our order and loved to chat with us.  Our steaks were cooked perfectly, the mussels in the white wine were amazing and the pale ale was on point. Couldn’t have asked for more! We’ve just moved to Leighton so we will frequent here again! Many thanks

I have to say this place is great. Great prices even in this current crisis great food and great staff. Been here a few times now almost always get the carvery and it never fails to disappoint. Good cuts of meat and always seem to be fresh veg on the carvery. Thanks for a great evening

We've been there with my friends on Sunday. The receptionist lady Abbie/Abby was very rude, could not care less about us while we were waiting for a menu - we had to go and get one for ourselves then when we asked her after 15 minutes of waiting if we can order she just said: I told you before if you want to order then go to the bar. She might have said but I wonder if we are just sitting there 15 minutes waiting should not she ask if we are okay or anything like that and then again being rude about it? It was 3 of us and somehow none of us remembered her saying anything about ordering... I give 3 stars not 1 because the blonde lady at the bar was very nice, her service was 5/5 so stayed at the middle with a 3*... dont think we'll go back after this

A really lovely experience. Lovely food all served on hot plates. Staff went the extra mile to give us the best service.
