First ever time having visited this pub was a brilliant choice for what its worth I would say yes food quality was absolutely unreal like I had ordered a starter Crispy squid was absolutely unreal and Hummus to share which was a great start and then for mains I ordered Fullers Battered fish and chips and wow for what you pay its worth it. My other friends had ordered pies and burgers etc. Friendly environment in the pub, Dog Friendly too as I seen someone who had their dog in the pub. The reason why I have given 4 stars is because the service was bit slow and disappointing, whether if its to do with staff shortage god knows but we had booked our table in advance. 3 of the orders which were amended at the time of ordering were not made correctly *instead of Mash had asked for Chips* They immediately went and got chips for those individuals. I would definitely visit again to try other things off the menu.
Very nice pub with a chilled vibe. Just went for drinks but keen to try their Sunday roast as the plates passing us looked good. Definitely book in advance if you want a table on the weekend.
For a start I never rate places.. however I feel I need to on this occasion. Very expensive and below average on quality. Especially for the price... I had fish and chips. The oil tasted old Metalic taste All for 17 pounds... Small fish and little chips. The tarter sauce was nice.. Disappointed to say the least. Weatherspoons is cheaper and better quality!!! Lovely location lovely decor. Enjoy
What a beautiful place... never heard of it until i arranged to meet a lady regarding here wedding... I will be back with my good lady for food and a alcoholic drink next time
Lovely setting on the Grand Union canal outside Leighton Buzzard - eaten many times but summer choice seems smaller/limited & Saturday offered wood-fired pizza £11+ but bit disappointing when toppings forgotten then came back looking like not been in the oven!
Very nice pub first time visited this pub a great choice!! The food quantity was great value for money will comeback again soon!!
Took my lady here for lunch as we drove past and thought the area looked beautiful. I had a beef burger which was lovely but very soggy bun and greasy but still left no crumbs. My lady’s lettuce in her burger was crispy and she couldn’t bite into it as the stem was too hard however she demolished the chips and said they were delicious. Menu is quite pricey but worth it for sure. The interior design is stunning and like a time warp of the old historic signs used on the canal barges. Overall a lovely lunch, would highly recommend.
This is a very friendly place. Good design of tables not too close together. However we had three roast beef dinners . the meat was rather fatty and ended up having to cut away from the meat. The whole meal was alright but had no taste. However the drinks menu was fantastic. I would recommend this place to eat as there was other dishes we could I have chosen. It does get busy so book a table on line .
Nice place for some good food, a little twist on traditional pub food with some daily specials. Very welcoming and a cosy barn style inside just by the canal. Would go again for sure. Loved my pulled pork roll we weren't quite as happy with the cheese and ham sandwich, bread just a little too thick and needed some sort of pickle. Worth a trip though.
Chef caters for omnivores, vegetarians and vegans. Food delicious, hospitality and service warm. Although I was dining alone on Boxing Day, I was given a quiet table with a view of the Grand Union and welcomed as warmly as the larger family parties.
