Normally very good. But yesterday the normal chef was not there and meat was a little on the dry side. Staff also need customer service skills training. When I asked for my drink to topped up, told rubbish about the top letter in pint was the measure instead of to of glass. We were also told off for sitting on a reserved table. There are ways to speak to a customer without upsetting them. Sadly after going every week for many years I think our last visit.

I visit this establishment at least once per month  to partake of their carvery which is of excellent value. They also serve Curry dishes on a Wednesday, the price includes a drink.
Friendly  staff and atmosphere. 
Good free parking .

The 2 stars were given for the reason we could book a table for 13  Christmas week. Also carvery price reasonable.  Dessert prices excellent and actually quite nice. So lack of other 3 stars. .staff looked tired .miserable. even 'chefs' at carvery didn't look happy. Carvery Meat  ok. Veg. Overcooked and very bland. But for 4.99 you get what you pay for. Not one employee that we saw looked happy to be there . Customer service lacking .

This pub does a daily carvery with turkey, beef and gammon and a selection of vegetables with 2 types of potatoes.  They have Wednesday? curry and a drink night for a really good price.  Loads of enormous dessert options but you can do take out if you can't finish eating at the table. It gets busy so there may be a wait.
