Made special trip for lunch and was lush. Sat with coffee on covered veranda overlooking the fields....bliss. Enjoyed a homecooked Ham & Cheese toastie with homemade coleslaw which was £5.00. Possibly more expensive than some places but it was lovely! Hubby had Tuna, sweet corn baguette with vegetable crisps- he didn't rate the crisps but baguette was rammed with filing and looked lovely. Very popular place for food, coffee and different plants and without a doubt well worth a visit

If you want to get your money back for a plant that did not survive it's first winter, forget it. It was supposed to be a hardy perennial, I did not have a receipt but had the identification tab with price and secret garden label. The assistant (female) on checkout was unhelpful and said that she had also bought one last summer and hers was fine, that was the end of that. The other female assistant on the way out was also miserable and unhelpful. A garden centre is not about a cafe or the food, it's about quality plants, good advice and a happy and friendly service. You won't find that at the secret garden. I've still given 4stars because of the range of products available.

Really nice garden centre with a really nice cafe on site. Pricing in general is reasonable and I find the fruit and veg plants very reasonable. If spending time walking around garden centres on lazy Sundays is your thing you won't be disappointed just watch you don't loose the kids chasing the beautiful bred of chickens they have wondering around freely.

Great place for plants and an hour out. Slightly pricey but all garden centres are. Some pics of my garden. A great hobby

Helpful staff. Found what we wanted and enjoyed a great bacon sandwich and coffee. Satisfactory result.
