We got there too early and they happily opened up for us and we got drinks straight away. The dining room is lovely and the staff were great, giving enough attention and a friendly atmosphere. It was a family meal and we all really enjoyed it. We all had starters and mains of different meals, which were all faultless

All the food we ordered was fantastic. The menu choice is wide ranging and should cater for most tastes. Atmosphere great and the staff friendly and attentive without being overpowering. Will definately return when in the area.

Outstanding food in a relaxed period setting. Great service, as someone else commented: not too fast, not too slow. We shared a starter and a dessert, plus two mains and drinks came to £55.

The setting is lovely, but could do with some attention carpet is tired, and the loos were not great. The food was good, especially the dessert, and the drinks were delicious. The service was outstanding - friendly, without any pressure and good humoured.

Amazing part of the country to stop and walk. Lovely pub to stop at. We had 3 great nights food was fantastic and the staff very friendly.
