Stopped overnight in our camper van. Very welcoming, friendly reception. Despite being very busy, found us a table and the food was really good. Great real ales and friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be back.Service: 5/5
What a wonderful English pub. A bit out of the way but the service and meals in the pub are outstanding.The pub boasts traditional local ales as well as an array of spirits.The land lady was very pleasant the meals were wholesome traditional and an ample portion was given, oh and the price was well within budget and not overly expensive well done!!
Was recommended by Miles at the Wensleydale Brewery. Amazing pints of their beer, TT Landlord and others. Great Pub Grub! Home cooked meals! A real local pub with a great atmosphere! Thanks for the recommendation! We’ll be back!
Visited with a friend who has been several times and always loved the food. However on our most recent visit the food was overdone and dry. It was exceedingly busy with a shooting party, so probably the reason for the disappointment.
Staff very helpful. Food was great and good value. Great breakfast. We stayed in one of the rooms above the bar. Please be aware that this is a pub and there will be noise. The rooms are not that soundproofed.Rooms: 3/5

Very lovely cosy pub in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside with a gleaming garden next to the river. Really friendly staff. Dog friendly. Very good prices and excellent selection of ale. Couldn't ask for more.Service: 5/5

Stopped here on our walk and really could have ended the walk here, except we had to get back to the car! Great friendly service food brilliant, and plenty of it. Beer was good to. Treat yourself and give it a visit if you are nearby. You won't be disappointed.Service: 5/5
