From the moment we arrived to a warm, welcoming smile we felt at home. The accommodation was spotless, clean and tidy. The service was faultless and friendly. We ate in the restaurant on our first night and the food was delicious with superb service. The breakfast was particularly good the eggs were from across the road and the sausages were FANTASTIC once again served with a friendly, professional and welcoming smile. We will be back! Thank you.
Hidden Gem! This pub totally surprised me. I made a booking based on the photos of the food above ^ It ended up smashing my expectations of the place. A very well put together menu with amazing food to suit, polite and friendly staff and a cheerful atmosphere.Service: 4/5
Really nice people, mouth watering menu, excellent allergy advice. 6 of us had lunch there after a lovely walk along the Moor Beck. We came away very well fed. We strongly recommend the potted crab, also mussels, also samphire and shrimp samosas. For main course, we recommend the chicken with pie crust, also the pork belly.
Good food lots of choice for everyone we had rabbit pasta and chicken and ham pie both very good
Everything was just a bit dirty. From the sticky tables to the cobwebs in the room, this place could be so much better. And don't get me started on flies. I understand that this is an old building in the middle of nowhere surrounded by farmland, but the bloody flies were everywhere. The bed was so soft I thought I would sink through it, not in a good way. The toilet seat was loose and slid off when you sat down. The bathroom in general was in need of a good clean and lick of paint. On a positive note, the food was lovely and the staff were very friendly.
This place has terrific food with big portions if you're of the serious eating kind and with great atmosphere and so nice and calming place to eat you'll really enjoy it.!
Delicious food and drink. Stunning views across the fields. Dogs allowed outside only. Very friendly staff.
Stopped in for a Sunday evening meal. It was absolutely lovely, the food was delicious - great Sunday roast and I had the asparagus and mushroom pasta. Great views while we ate and a really relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely go back
