I have never had any problems with the surgery until today but have just been for my covid jab and was shocked to be told as soon as the nurse stuck the needle in my arm "bye" wasn't even given time to put my jumper and coat back on! I was slightly late because I had to use the toilet lol and the nurse going on saying that I was cutting it fine, i was 3 minutes late WTH! Apparently the staff wanted to go home which is fair enough but its not my fault i was told to go down a few minutes before the surgery closed. I ended up having to get dressed outside the surgery in the freezing cold. I have a bad back which the doctors know and I can't rush anywhere whether I want to or not!
AVOID THIS SURGERY LIKE THE PLAGUE. SO CALLED DOCTOR, EMMA SEVERN, GAVE ME A STATIN OVERDOSE AND HAS COMPLETELY RUINED MY HEARING FOR LIFE!!!
Very happy with this surgery. Wanted to get something checked out, phoned this morning and got an appointment this afternoon. In the past I've never had to wait long for an appointment, admin staff have always been kind and friendly and doctors have all been helpful and informative. My thanks to all who work here.
Absolutely awful. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. Dr smith told me I was pregnant when I wasnt and just left me to think I was having a miscarriage after a year of trying and a 20wk loss this was so hard to deal with and he just laughed it off saying "at least your not actually pregnant". The most recent I was told I had arthritis at 23 so confused what it meant for my future and life. I rang the surgery for some hand splints and was told by a receptionist I would need to be referred and shed give the doctor the message now 8 months later iv rang and spoke to a receptionist and I was never referred. The receptionist was awful on the phone to me never apologised for the mistake and just cutting me off when I was talking she was really rude and snappy. I have been told that the main doctor is lovely but iv never seen him. The only reason I'm still with this surgery is because of past referrals and now covid but I cannot wait to leave I went from one horrible doctor's surgery to this one I would definitely say avoid as a young woman they are awful with anything you may need.
Apart from the obvious covid situation, it is what it is....I've always found staff very pleasant, Dr's and NP's also....Nice surgery....appointments always available though popular Dr's you've gotta be in fast....
Sadly I am leaving this surgery after many years. I have had to make a complaint regarding the surgery with reference to the NICE guidlines. I have done both with a heavy heart, but as I am the expert on myself I no longer believe I am receiving the best or adequate service from the practise. That said the reception staff I believe do their very best and Helen Lee is another pleasant member of staff but it ends there. I would not recommend this surgery any longer.
Joined as a child, there were some good doctors and nurses back then. The surgery has since gone very downhill. I have no faith in the majority of staff and the receptionists are rude. Have had nothing but trouble with the surgery for a few years and actively avoid going to the doctors because of this.
I joined this Practice some 13 years ago. My wife was already a patient there.I have total faith in the doctors there and have experienced fantastic care and attention to detail for my own health requirements.I could not single out any of the doctors or nurses but happily state that they compliment each others strengths and are a great long serving caring empathetic team. Could not ask for better attention at all.
A very caring surgery, always polite reception staff and feel at ease with the doctors and nurses, they go out of their way to contact and make appointments. First class.
My partner is due her COVID-19 injection.She was phoned by the practice and immediately phoned them back,to be told that she had missed an available appointment at Redcar Primary Care. Three days later the same scenario at 8.25 on a Saturday morning.She rang back within 2 minutes and was told she had missed it again and that she would be offered another appointment soon.A week later she has had no appointments offered and cannot get anyone to answer her phone calls at Saltscar reception.Having seen friends secure appointments at Primary Care since we would like to know why Saltscar have not offered her an appointment.
