What a fabulous hospital, very  clean.  And every single  member of  staff we saw from the reception,  to the cafe staff all nurses and  doctor  and the porter on the way out were very friendly, happy and helpful. Made my husband  visit so much better and free  parking to boot. Well done to all and thank you  x

Advised by 111 to attend with my 4 month old. Great service. Free car park with plenty of spaces available. Staff were very friendly and patient. Waiting time wasn't too bad for a busy hospital, we were seen to by triage nurse within 5-10 mins for observations, then moved to the waiting room to see the nurse . Was clean and spacious and has a cafe near the walk in with seating

I wish I could leave no stars. We where sent here by 111 with my wife who was experiencing extreme crippling pain in her hands. We waited 3 hours 40mins to be seen by the rudest most patronising arrogant nurse practitioner who was instantly not interested in helping my wife she didn’t even examine her and when I challenged her she had us removed from the hospital.

Good social distancing measures in place, guidelines for all hospital visitors / patients to follow clearly visible, handsanitiser available on entry, seating spaced out, notices for facemasks to be worn. Good sized car park with plenty of spaces and free.

Fell yesterday, this morning couldn’t put my foot down. Went to primary care, got seen straight away, staff were terrific, never laughed so much. Got X-rays, and thankfully nothing broken. Thank you all

Visited Out Patients for the first time and was greatly impressed...had a relaxed atmosphere.  Won't mind having to come again if my next appt is here rather than James Cook.

Attended Redcar primary care hospital after being advised to by 111. Told to sit and wait and would be triaged. Once all other patients before us were seen, and we noticed two staff members leave. We asked security when it closed as the shutters had now been put down at reception and they said it was closed, staff had left and one staff member informed us notes said we had been advised to seek care elsewhere when we had waited as told to do so. Absolute lack of communication as told we would be triaged and falsifying notes. When staff see patients going in the toilet then sitting in the waiting room as they go home and ignore them? Check your cctv. Please contact me, not a great standard of care, lack of candour before initial care is even started, I dread to think the effects this could cause.

Yesterday 11.11.21 I attended the day surgery at Redcar hospital to have surgery on a badly cut finger. The surgeon was held up at James Cook and it became apparent as time went on, that my operation may have to be cancelled. The staff went above and beyond to help me. They arranged for my surgery to happen that day at James Cook so I didn't have have it delayed further. Two staff went with me and were there right through the procedure and held my hand and talked me through surgery. I know they worked late so this could happen and I am so incredibly grateful to them. The nursing team at Redcar and James Cook and  the surgeon were wonderful. I can't thank them all enough. I was given the option to make a complaint but I really don't feel in light of how I was cared for from start to finish it warrants anything other than the highest praise. Thank you all so very much. Excellent experience today in Plastic Day Surgery on my ear. Really happy & caring nursing staff & consultant. Thoroughly recommend this service.

Unnecessarily rude staff/nurses, other than one blonde lady with glasses at reception. Waiting times are long but that’s the norm.
