Brilliant night with a fantastic band at the Saddle. It was absolutely packed in there and not much space to move around but that should be expected in a rock bar. The sound system was good and the band were excellent, will definitely come again when they are back. Drinks were nice, cocktails available also. Nice big beer garden area with screens to watch bands on, fully covered and heated so can be used in all weather. Staff were very nice and helpful and security staff were absolutely on the ball. Didn't stay in the hotel, just went to watch the band but a friend of mine was that night and said his room was amazingly decorated.
We stayed at this local 200 year old Rock Bar Inn to explore Chester. It's location is really close to the centre and prices were reasonable. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was totally unexpected. In fact we have had worse service at 5 star hotels, and the staff especially the owner went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Food wise, its not just pub grub prepared by a cook, but restaurant quality prepared by a chef - and you can really tell. Totally unexpected. As a rock pub the decor was really good, and they had live rock music playing - who were really good. Rooms wise, each room is themed and have guitars in the rooms, and styled to a different rock artist. Some of the rooms needed a bit of TLC; but, for the price, location, quality of the food and staff quality, really not a biggy. Would happy stay here again.
Visited The Saddle Inn who reserved us a table to watch England play. What a fantastic experience apart from the football. The food was amazing really hot and tasty. The team of staff were all superb, with the detail being second to none. A great place to visit for food, accommodation and especially entertainment with a late night bar. Highly recommend a visit when in Chester.
A very lovely, but we'll staffed bar means that you will never be kept waiting more than a few minutes. Even on a Saturday night. A venue well known for having great live rock bands on. If this is your scene, no other bar in the area can compete. I am 50, and attended with my 19yr old daughter. She's been a rocker since birth, so neither of us felt out of place. Will definitely be going again
I needed a room at short notice and Claire managed to organise a room for me despite it being very busy. The hotel is located quite centrally within easy walking distance all the main attractions in Chester. I was in the Guns n’ Roses room which was warm, clean and had plenty of hot water, towels and toiletries. I had a great evening at the karaoke night in the bar and it was wonderful to be able to just walk up the stairs to bed. Great service in the morning from Rebecca with an extremely nice breakfast, freshly cooked to order which really hot the spot. Will definitely book again. Thanks to all at The Saddle Inn.
Well, we turned up to stay the night with baby and dog in tow and the lovely staff at the Saddle Inn couldn't do enough to help us and keep up with our ever changing requests! Excellent evening meal and breakfast. Thank you guys! Highly recommend.Rooms: 5/5
Located at the near the chester Museum and a stones throw from the historic Chester Crown Courts, The Saddle is one of Chester Best known secrets, an establishment that offers rooms, food and reasonable drinks prices is a rarity in an otherwise over priced albeit beautiful city. The saddle always appears to have something going on, from charity events with local motorcycle enthusiasts, open mic nights, karaoke, and even live music! This place is only capped off by its friendly staff and the very friendly landlord who can be found in the crowds speaking with customers new and old! If you are ever in Chester I definitely recommend a visit to the Saddle.
Great location and good parking options nearby. The Rock theme isn't done as a novelty, it's a genuine love, and the little touches all through the place just add to the overall feel. Comfy beds, good shower, lovely owners and staff, and delicious breakfast.Rooms: 4/5
This pub often has karaoke nights on Fridays and live rock music on Saturdays. It is right by the Wrexham bus stop so perfect to stop at before heading home. Drinks are cheaper than average in the city and the atmosphere is great.Rooms: 3/5
Got to be the best rock music pub in the area. Friendly staff and great service. Well done on your recent award Service: 5/5
