"The Royal Oak has been stylishly, but sympathetically refurbished – an ‘on trend’ venue but with a traditional welcome, as customer service is one of our prime objectives. Pieminister is our menu of choice – along with Patties served hot with spicy ketchup - perfect with a pint, complimented by a selection of Nibbles and Lite Bites. We stock a wide range of cask ales, wines at sensible prices and premium spirits. An enclosed beer garden at the rear, is perfect for relaxing, or simply enjoying 'Al fresco' drinking and dining."

Used to go here a lot but have been here twice recently and both times, the same barmaid went straight in to serve people who she knew who had just walked in, as opposed to serving us and other people who had clearly been waiting for a while who she didn’t know. The atmosphere was ok, although we decided to swiftly move to another more relaxed pub in the village as it was very loud with the music and we couldn’t even have a conversation due to the loud music, reminded me of a night club or old school social club. A good place to go if you want a bit of a disco without going to town and don’t mind being pushed to the bottom of the pile when waiting to be served , but wouldn’t recommend if you want a quiet drink and conversation on a Saturday night
Went late on Saturday night with a few family really spent some money on the place nicely done with a small dance floor and a real smart beer garden. Good DJ played some good tunes got the place moving mums and sons daughters and dad's all up having a boogie. Bar was pricey Manchester prices but staff were very good even though it was very busy. We all had a great night even me the fossil of the group.Well worth a look.
We were visiting Cheadle and after walking up through the centre we spotted this place we went in and were able to get seats no problem at all. We ordered at the bar, which has the usual selection of drinks, is bit limited on real ales. The food was tasty and well presented, we choose to share a sharing platter.
Lovely, friendly staff, beautifully decorated. Good Karaoke DJ on a Thursday. Only complaint is it is a bit on the expensive side but don't let that put you off.Service: 5/5
I would have given 3 stars because of the beautiful decor however the food and overall experience is what lowered the score. I had a really bad tummy after eating here, that I had to take imodium. The beef roast was overcooked and the mash potato was hard which I think is what led me to have a poorly tummy. The atmosphere wasn't welcoming enough and staff didn't recognise customers or tables sat at, quite strange really. If you read the reviews which I did whilst I was there, too late they all have the same theme.
Welcoming and friendly pub, I had the scampi and chips, the portion was a good size and hot and the chips were definitely the best I've ever had. I'd definitely eat here again
Girls behind the bar are always there to help with a smile, the DJ's Phil and Clive are on point and will play anything you ask of them, the atmosphere is lively and full of variety and the food is good old cooked in ovens, tasty and served with a smile, if you visit Cheadle make sure the Oak's on your to do listFood: 5/5
