Lovely pub.. relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. The lady behind the bar with pink hair was very helpful and friendly. The food was great. We had gammon and eggs and the gammon was very tasty and juicy. Tasted like it had been on a bbq. Over all lovely family pub. We will be back x
It was my first time visiting the pub after having moved to the area recently; decided to meet a friend there for food and drink before showing them my house. The bar was extensive with lots of drink choices and good prices; the dining area was a little shabby with lots of carpet stains and chipped tables, quite a few of which hadn't been cleared even though the pub was almost empty. When we got our food it was just basic really, like a supermarket ready meal. I would go there again for a casual drink but the experience was just ok, which is why I'm only giving it 3 stars.
Went to a great st Patrick's day evening with live music, which was fantastic. The staff appeared friendly and efficient. Nice variety of beers and wines. Didn't have any food, so can't comment.
What a joke of a place. Ordered 2 burgers, not a complicated item yet after an hour no food arrives. A female staff member was asked where the food was, with a mumbled response of yes it's coming. Still no food, a young lad then tells us that the food we were waiting for had been given to the wrong table, but at the bar we were told the chef for the record you are not a chef if you are warming set food made the food but thought it was a mistake and binned it. Clearly the place is run by liars and and dim wits. Another friend of mine was also shouted at by the staff after giving feedback on under cooked food items. Considering we were a group of 6 and normally more we will not be eating here again due to the clear incompetence all round.
Well, it wasn't best place I was in. Definitely food is 2 only. Nothing special about it and not even average. Simply few bits putted together and called food. Don't know how was my wife's brew but mine coffee was bad. For places like this it should be groud coffe not instant coffee and of still need to be one then should be high end on. I had better coffee from food truck. Staff is very friendly and despite being very tight with space there is plenty space to sit.
We had a fantastic experience. The food was incredible, especially for the price and the service was impeccable. The young man who served us was very friendly and chatty. I would definitely recommend this pub to anyone looking for a nice pub meal.
Mandy and her team are fabulous, always kind and professional. Standards have definitely gone up since new lady Mandy took over. The food is lovely and the gin display is the best
Took 45 mins for the food to arrive even though the place was super quiet and when it did finally arrive the order was no. No proper apology and no compensation. Manager seemed to be more interested in getting the tvs to work. Won't be going back will stick to the hungry horse rectory in future
Food is amazing! Definitely has great chefs, many food offering, great food hygiene, great night out with friends, safe, staff is polite, perfect! Only thing i would change is prices!
Been going for years with the kids for family tea, but now they've changed times so you have to have kids out by 7pm and have to order food for them by 6pm - hubby doesn't finish work until 6pm so it's pretty impossible for us to go now. Suppose to be a family pub but it's doing everything possible to prevent families going in now. All because of the actions of a few people who spoil it for others. Greene King don't care either. We won't be going any more.
