The Red Lion boasts a relaxed, warm and friendly ambiance. The cosy “snug” style rooms are full of character and the open fires are a big draw in the winter months. The food here was great - high quality pub options done really well. There were a few decent vegetarian and vegan options and universally popular offerings on the kids menu. There were some good ales on tap and staff were very friendly and attentive. We hadn't even noticed this place before but will definitely be back!Food: 5/5

I ate here as part of a large party. We received exquisite service and the food was fantastic! I didn’t get her name but the waitress with the australian accent was a standout member of staff. The vegetarian and vegan options available on their three course menu all sounded superb. I had the leek and potato soup which tasted exactly how my mum has always made it, but came with warm cheese scones!! The bombay inspired cauliflower pie was sensational with a spicey gravy sauce. And to finish off a spectacular sticky toffee sponge which they kindly swapped the custard for ice cream for me
Booked last minute on Mother’s Day for lunch with a friend. Fantastic friendly service, cosy convivial atmosphere and delicious food. Absolutely recommend and will be back!Food: 5/5
Absolutely fantastic roast dinners and even better service. We're so glad to have the Red Lion nearby. Best to book a table as they're always busy, but staff will always do their best to squeeze you in when they can. Best service for miles around and very family friendly. Parking: About 14 spaces in the pub's carpark. If full, free parking can be found on the residential streets on the other side of the main road.

First time going to Red Lion for a Sunday roast and it did not disappoint! Absolutely loved the roast pork and the crackling. The staff were lovely. Highly recommend.Food: 5/5
Delicious food and really friendly service. We ate from the Christmas menu which had great options for vegetarians. The Mushroom, Leek and Tarragon pie was amazing. Kelly was efficient and super friendly, she even arranged for 'decaff' Eggnog Espresso Martinis. A lovely Christmas night.
Visited in a group of 7, 5 adults and two kids. Really kid friendly and very accommodating. Food excellent, drinks well looked after, top visit all round. Lady running the show clearly setting the standard, well done!Food: 5/5
