This is a honest, traditional guest house. I had a double bedded room which although small compared to a modern hotel it had everything I needed including TV and free wifi. The en-suite was absolutely spotlessly clean. It was quiet. The owner made me breakfast exactly as I asked ready for the Great North Run. It does not pretend to be a modern place but for the price it is a very good deal. Very handy for the metro and the shops. On the down side perhaps it's time for a new firmer mattress but it was not bad. Overall good and I would stay again. Can't say fairer than that.
