We stopped here for a meal following a nice walk in the area. Fantastic little pub with food far exceeding expectations. The staff matched the quality of the food, making this an all round excellent experience. Would definitely recommend stopping by for food if the opportunity arises.
We had a very nice Sunday roast lunch. Good choice for vegetarians. Staff were very kind, as they served us ten minutes after 2:30. The bean casserole was delicious. We will come back!
Lovely Xmas meal for 20+. Service was flawless, every meal delicious. I had the veggie options which were stunning, but the fish and meat options looked amazing too. What a lovely accomodating place.
An unexpected find but what a gem! They accomodated us despite being a Sunday and we had no booking. A lovely Sunday roast menu and gluten/diary free options. And the staff are very lovely! The berry crumble with hot custard is to die for!!!
On 26th September late afternoon we chose to stop here for a pint since the Angel has an attractive exterior, looking well cared for. Because we had a dog with us we had to go to the right once inside, totally understand this, not everyone wants to be around dogs. Service was friendly enough, however once we sat down we quickly realised how dirty the place was. Old food all over the carpet where we were sitting- had to pick the dog up to stop him feasting on the old scraps. Staff sat chatting! Decided not to stay for another drink because of the dirty environment- such a shame.
