Fantastic music venue. For all those who prefer a more intimate venue where you don't need to watch the artists on giant screens this is it. Mainly standing though there is some balcony seating. Two bars serve the main arena and there are easily accessible toilets. Outside the arena there is a nice cafe area. This is one of my favourite music venues.
What a beautiful venue! Was shooting Christopher Kane’s latest fashion show! The place has dynamism and so dramatic! Beautiful interiors and huge. Would love to drop by for more shows in future. Nicely maintained and should be visited once if you are in London.
Went to see Metric at Roundhouse and I had a really great experience. This might be a crazy comment but we got there just after the doors opened and the floors are so clean - like exceptionally clean. Obviously I’m saying this prior to all the crowds arriving. Bar service was quite fast. Loos were clean and I never had to queue for them. The hand dryers do not work well but that’s not a big deal. The sound quality is great. The venue is accessible with lifts and seating. There is a cloakroom and it cost £4 for two coats. It was just under £13 for two pints of draft.
Fantastic circular venue for live music in Camden. Holding about 3,500 people with large stage. Standing on ground floor with seated circle above. Bars and toilets thought-out the venue. Long queues on busy nights but well staffed. Excellent sound system with clear, crisp amplification of music. Good sightlines from all around the stage. Only quibble is the pricey drinks, but that's how it goes these days.
There's always a good concert going on in there! The sound is pretty good and there is enough space to watch it close or from afar. The only problem I had in there is that they don't have tap water at the bar, so either you have to leave the concert area or pay for a can.
First visit to the Roundhouse. I can see why people like it. The setting & style is unique, & suited the gig, but I can also see why it works for stage works/theatre, etc. If you're sat in Level 2, be prepared for a slightly restricted view due to the pillars. The bars get busy at intervals, so plan ahead. The only small "down tick" is that after a performance, everyone is trying to get out through the one set of wide stairs and one entry/exit point. It got a congested when I was there, so if you're claustrophobic, maybe wait a little while before exiting.
Consistently a great venue. Acoustics are very good. Views are decent due to shape of venue. Been to many gigs here and never been disappointed by quality of set up. Been to corporate events also and they have been positive. Would recommend for both gigs and for a corporate event.
Really great mid-size concert venue. Good location, nice staff, great acoustics. Excellent accessibility. Even has a nice restaurant/bar in the front. edit: I have removed a star in the spirit of inclusiveness, because I remember shorter friends complaining that the floor not sloping meant they couldn't see much onstage. So if you want a good view either sit upstairs or get there earlier and go further forward.
The place was big and audio great the band that played were fantastic and the bar was well stocked. But there was a massive queue outside even at 9 when the band was expected so getting in was long. Inside it felt a bit overcrowded as people were bumping into each other often to get drinks or go the loo. Facilities are fantastic with many loos, but think was just too many in the space.
Really nice iconic venue with great views from everywhere. But the ticket system is a debacle I bought my tickets from Ticketmaster but they didn't have my tickets I tried to call the Roundhouse but no one answered the phone, I finally got through to Ticketmaster and they told me that I had to get the tickets through the Roundhouse website which I had to sign-up for, when I finally did all this their website didn't have my tickets either. I finally got to speak to someone else and they told me that the tickets only appear a few hours before the gig. So I was panicking about it and wasting time when I should have just been sent an email a few days before the gig explaining the situation.
