"The Marquis is a family owned free-house by The Morton Scott Pub Company. We took ownership of this beautiful and charming public house in 2007. It now forms our family of three pubs in the Covent Garden area. As a company, we are passionate about keeping the spirit of London pubs alive. We believe in great beer, great service and good honest food. All our music is spun on Vinyl from our record collection of over 3000 LP's. Live Music, Stand up comedy, Pub quizzes and much more!"

This family owned pub is very popular among pub groups on Facebook and I can see why. They had four cask beers on offer and I opted for a Ghost Ship, very reasonably priced at £5.50. The theme of this pub is music, from the vinyl records dangling from the ceiling to the multitude of memorabilia all around the pub. You can choose an album to play from behind the bar and they will play it on an old style record player. They also have live music and other live events on a regular basis. The service was excellent. It is not a large pub but there is a designated standing area out back, while some customers prefer to drink in the street at the front. This pub does get busy and a lot of groups on pub tours come and go. In summary a must do pub if you are in the area.
Where else can you get a pint in Trafalgar Sq/Covent garden for 5.50?! Great real ale kept well thats coming from a Northerner Always friendly staff, happy to give tasters actually they encourage you to, great vinyl always playing. Afternoons in the week are great for a quiet pint but it gets packed for good reason at weekends and evenings. Great vibe though. Been going ages. Legendary pub to those in the know.
What a find! Great atmosphere. Music played on vinyl behind the bar! Love it! And a great bit of history as written on the blackboard. Live music too. Get the party started. Didn’t eat there but the restaurant was full and I hear the food is very good. Highly recommend.Service: 5/5
Personally one of the coolest places in London specially if you love music. Food is ok and super special atmosphere. Next time I visit the city I will come again.Food: 5/5
This is my go to, favourite pub in central London. It’s always a great atmosphere and is fabulous for music. They have a record deck and loads of vinyl behind the bar. Great beer, friendly service and they will have the odd live band in there and recently Green day did a surprise gig in there. Upstairs you can get good traditional food. It’s not Michelin star but it’s very reasonably priced. A big shout out to Tabitha who served us in there who was great. In short you won’t go wrong paying this great pub a visit… even Charles Dickens used to drink here.
Small and always busy but for good reason. Decent live music on regularly and when it's not the bar staff put on a range of music from the extensive record collection behind the bar. Pretty much always ends up in a big sing along towards closing.Service: 5/5
Historical. Charles Dickens hung out here. Bar has a large collection of records....just ask for your favorite... Typical London bar food was well prepared and served hot. Service was attentive.Food: 4/5
This bar is absolutely brilliant. Little hidden gem. Very quirky with great music.Service: 4/5
Awesome pub in London. Great food and atmosphere. Friendly service as well!Food: 5/5
An incredible atmosphere in the centre of London. Prices are not too bad and the music you listen to is directly cooked from the bar using a more-than-decent vinyl collection.Atmosphere: 5/5
