Beautiful hotel tucked away in fabulous surroundings. Welcoming staff who could not do enough for us. Loved the food, best fish and chips I have ever tasted. I can't wait to come back again soon

I was surprised by my husband, for a Valentine's present. We had the Briar Rose cottage; it was beautiful. Quaint, atmospheric a truly quintessential English retreat. With some great little touches to make it a very special stay. Additionally, for the cost, the restaurant was priced very reasonably. We can't wait to return and we highly recommend it.

Absolutely beautiful place. The staff where very polite, helpful and accommodating. We had an evening meal of steak and a dessert the following morning we had breakfast all of which where exceptional. Loved the room (bride suit) spotlessly clean, with a large and comfortable bed. Would certainly recommend.

Bedroom a little dated but conformable enough. Meal in evening very nice. The Beef was wonderful, best I've ever eaten. Absolutely no phone signal so make all your calls before you arrive.

Haven’t had food here but popped in for a drink a few times. Lovely helpful staff and good drinks, but it’s really the ambiance, decor and cosy higgledypiggledy of this place that wins out.
