A beautiful quiet night away. Staff so friendly and professional. A great old building and tonnes of character. Room was fabulous with great size jacuzzi bath and waterfall shower. Fab nights sleep . Locally sourced breakfast. No restaurant now but a 2 minute walk away to country pubs and an Indian restaurant. Paninis for room service and they also provide takeaway /delivery details. Also have a bar. If you want a quiet place to stay which isn't intrusive , this is it. Thank you for a fantastic stay and we will be back very soon.
Stayed here for one night as we had a party in Shoreham. Generous room and bathroom size. Comfy beds. Brilliant welcome and service. We had a few drinks at the bar and the breakfast the next day was superb. Would def book again if down that way.
Lovely cute English hotel to stay at while attending a friend's wedding in the region. Rooms were comfortable and reasonably price however little dissimilarities. My friends room 2 doors down had a renovated bathroom but I did not, but I had a bar fridge. I understand they are probably gradually renovating so the price is cheap to reflect that and was good value for money.nReception lady was so lovely and accommodating.nBreakfast was delish, even after a wrong order was placed it was remade with no hassles. Would stay again if ever in this part of the world!
A fair three star hotel in my opinion. Location is good, just off the South Days Way, so great location for hikers and cyclists. Cooked breakfast was reasonable, and a good selection of cereal tea and coffee. We stayed in the outbuilding, which was quite tired looking but they’d redone the bathrooms so they were clean. Pillows were very flat but there were spares in cupboard.
What a fabulous time we had at the Tollgate Hotel. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Every member of staff were welcoming and made us feel special.Our breakfasts were delicious.The waitress remembered our drink choice and the service was quick even though the food was freshly cooked. We also had delicious paninis and lasagne. The food and drinks were very reasonable. We are definitely booking again.
