Went to a wedding reception lovely function room! The food was lovely and the bar prices what can I say very reasonable.

This is a good hotel, the staff were friendly and interested and the food was very good. This was despite the fact that the hotel was undergoing a major refurbishment. When this is complete I feel the hotel will move up a level. I will stay there again.

Food good. Lack of ale (run off) and lagers (2 of 3 had run off).

Well where to start, last year we booked a wedding here paid a deposit and as we are young and on minimum waged jobs also have a child and bill ect to pay we thought it would be a good idea to pay our wedding off monthly. Then in October last year we found out that lawrence Smith had left and took our deposit and monthly paid money with him! And we only found that out a when we rang the hotel as we couldn't get hold of Lawrence you'd think a new manager would ring the couple's that have a wedding booked but no he didn't. So we set a meeting up with Paul the new wedding manager he couldn't honour the money (even though we bank statement ect to prove we paid) but said he could do us a deal which wasn't too bad, after all that Paul then decided that he would NOT send us a contract over, he has ignored all our phone calls and apparently is never around when we called into the pub! So no I would not recommend anybody to get married here or trust anything PAUL has to say. Disgusting people let alone managers!
