Felt a little bored and decided to watch a movie.nnThe choice was between Predator badlands and Choral. I chose Predator and Im so glad I did.nnThe cinema has a very 60s vibe with comfortable seats.nnThe lady at the booking section handles thw snacks as well. She was absolutely friendly.nnThe experience was really good and I will definately go back to watch another movie again...
Although they have a sign encouraging you to bring you own food and pay a supplement charge don't do it. Workers there are rude if you do. Possibly don't have a sign asking you to take your own food if you don't want food from outside brought in. Wonderful building but spoilt by a grumpy worker. No doubt it will be flats soon anyway. Guys, ditch the sign, your prices are fair you don't need to offer food from outside in and moan about it.nnThis cinema is worth the visit just to experience what a cinema from the 30's would of been like. A wonderful step back in time.nThe cinema has two screens and carpet that is clean, unheard of in the cinema world.nA ticket to see a film will set you back small change, £3 to £5 per ticket. A portion of popcorn is a pound, drinks sweets and chocolates all available at shop prices. Completely blown away by the prices. I haven't paid this little to see a film since I was a kid. I don't go to the cinema much because of the cost and the owners pricings will now allow me to enjoy films whenever I want. Brilliance.nWith out a doubt go visit here, watch a film and soak in the history that surrounds you.nnJust wonderful.
Absolutely love this place. A wonderful classic cinema with nice comfortable seats and a very generous amount of leg room. Comfortable sofa’s you can also sit on. The tickets are cheap in comparison to the bigger cinema players. The snacks at the kiosk are good value: now there is a revelation in this day and age. Take note it’s cash only. Good friendly service. Could not be happier -:
I remember visiting my Grandparents in the late 1970s who decided in Burnham. I use to love going to this Cinema with my Brothers and the lady would come in selling drinks and sweets. Happy memories of a young boy who is now 60. Ps the first film I ever saw was Peter and the Dragon
Oh Wow! A private cinema since 1910, small, very personal & quirky. Has 2 screens, which show all the latest films. The box office offers tickets, drinks & snacks at very reasonable prices too! Well worth a visit!
