Went yesterday afternoon.nStaff lovely, greeted us as we went in. I decided to have some popcorn the large size we shared was huge.nDuring the film we had a fire alarm. Was told to leave the building. We all waited outside. Was bit surprised nobody came out to reassure us. But as we went back in ppl were saying it false alarm. So we went back upstairs to finish the film.nToilets were clean & we didn't use the lift. We just went screen 7 up the stairs.
Located at the top of the High Street, next to Victoria Shopping, the cinema has 8 screens. The biggest is in room 5.nThere's a Bar and an ice cream parlour serving Ben & Jerry's.nMonday is the cheapest day to buy a ticket.nODEON Kids screenings happen every Saturday and Sunday and every day during the school holidays. The price is just 2.75 £ and adults pay kids prices.nSenior citizens over 60 pay only 4.50£ per ticket every Wednesday.nThe opening times are:nMonday: 14:45nTuesday: 12:30nWednesday: 14:35nThursday: 14:35nFriday: 9:45nSaturday: 9:45nSunday: 9:45
Had an issue with my limitless ticket where I needed a manager to override my booking as the app had crashed, all staff members were so lovely and pointed me towards who I needed to see. I patiently waited while the manager fiddled with the till and didn’t even acknowledge me before asking her staff member to deal with me. She finally had to serve me and I felt like I was the one having to do customer service to her. She was so patronising, made me feel so small and a major inconvenience when I was nothing but polite and have been a loyal customer for several years now. Not someone to have as a role model for your other staff! who again were so lovely As a person who also works in customer service it was a big disappointment as I normally have a lovely experience here.
It needs a refurb. The lift is old and horrible. The food is not great, both times I've had mozzarella dippers, there have always been some that were empty and had no mozzarella in. The screens are dirty, the sound quality isn't very good, there are no staff at your screen to greet you. It is my least favourite cinema.
I am a huge cinema fan, and have been to many different ones such as Cineworld and Omniplex, and I can truly say that this is the worst cinema I have ever been to! It costs almost double what other cinema cost! And the seating is horrible, they are all squished together and there is absolutely no leg room! The screen size is small and in general the seating is super uncomfortable!
