We went to see wicked today at 12.10. The staff were friendly & polite. The prices are very expensive, £5 for a small Diet Coke. Luckily we took our own
The ticket price is right for the area so no issues there. The food is kind of expensive but you expect that at a cinema. It's at most a couple of hours film so, do you really need to spend a fortune on sweets? The screen itself was clean when I attended and the seats were comfortable enough for a 2hr film. More room than a west end show that's for sure! However I may be getting old but it was so loud. Not just the adverts but at points during the film I was ready to walk out. I've never known a cinema so loud!nAt times I wished the volume was lower, MUCH LOWER, but generally it was acceptable and hence the drop in stars. I want to enjoy the film at a reasonable level not walk out with my ear drums bleeding..
The seats are very uncomfortable, even the premium ones. Numb bum after 30 mins. Food and drink is overpriced as you'd expect, but it's clean and the staff are attentive.
I recently went to the Odeon in Colchester with my family to watch “Moana 2”. The thing I enjoyed most about the theatre was the nostalgic feel with all the neon blue lights. The viewing room itself was fairly decent, if not a bit small.nnThe things that I did not enjoy was how dirty the whole place was. The floors clearly need to be vacuumed, not swept with a tiny useless broom. Either that or the carpets should be removed altogether. I say this as I watched a young girl attempt to sweep but the broom wasn’t collecting any of the popcorn or dirt on the floor. Further, the women’s washroom had absolutely no soap. I asked a worker to rectify this and two hours later, still nothing was done. The floors of the bathrooms were sticky and all the garbages which there are seldom, mainly one per floor instead of one per theatre were overflowing. Also the theatre clearly advertises recycling your popcorn boxes and yet there were absolutely no recycling bins in sight! Do not claim to do your part for the environment if you actually don't!nnIt is apparent to me that this location is severely understaffed. There should be individuals hired simply for the sake of cleaning. I’m sure this location could be lovely if these issues were addressed.
They don't have student tickets so you have to pay £16.00 for adult ticket which is unreasonable and not affordable. seats are very uncomfortable overall experience wasn't very good won't be going to an odeon cinema again!! I do NOT recommend
