Absolutely appalling. I came here a couple of months ago to look at buying an engagement ring. I explained to the elderly man behind the counter that I had read some bad things about unethically sourced diamonds, and wanted some advice about alternatives. Instead I got a ten minute (no exaggeration) rant about how the internet had lied to me, and how young people were so gullible these days. I then said that I liked the colour of morganite stones, to which the man made a judgemental comment about the fact that he assumed my budget must be very low. A lady then came to try and salvage the sale, and was very personable, however after such an awful experience, I decided to buy elsewhere.

They re-sized an heirloom ring and the stone fell out within 24 hours, they didnt test it beforehand and the ring had been worn for decades so was perfectly fine beforehand. My cousin also took a pandora charm and bracelet there as she couldnt attach it and they broke it and didnt pay for it. Maybe try andrew scott, i know someone who works there and she helped me over my ring and said it was very unprofessional so u would prob get on better there

Unfortunately I ask this gold smith to alter my wedding ring. it had a design to it like an edge I wanted it blended or filled away , it would be no problem he said , what I received back was a ruined wedding ring . I was told I could only see how bad the workmanship was upclose and he wouldn’t do anything else to fix it , I’m gutted I’ve thrusted them with my most valued  possession .

Regrettably I am not having a good experience with this jeweler. My ring was originally taken there to be altered and was stretched rather than having a piece added. So after putting this right I was then charged £150.00 (fair enough). The ring was worn once and a stone that had been in position for 20 plus years then fell out. The ring was returned to the shop and I was then charged a further £100.00 to put this right. (i begrudgingly paid the amount).  To add to this the ring has now been  worn again (once) and the second stone has now dropped out ! Back to the shop again or a visit to trading standards ?
