Another diamond in the rough... This country style pub is so fresh and clean it's a real credit to the new management team... Ps..Ladies can help themselves to a free spray of perfume when freshening up I was here yesterday for work but took the opportunity to use the facilities... You can tell how hygiene conscious the staff are behind the scenes from the toilets at front of house and these were impeccable. As usual I was privy to work in the kitchen and again the cleanliness and high standards run throughout this pub. Beautifully laid out with ample seating and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. These guys have only taken over a very short time ago but in my opinion they have the right stuff to make this place a raving success. Pictures show this fantastic venue and it's high standards
Pleasantly surprised. We had a very nice meal and drinks in great surroundings. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It's been a few years since we last went there and haven't been back due to a poor menu in my opinion. Thought we'd give it another try as we noticed the menu had changed online. It's definitely back on the list again.
Went today for my wife's Birthday had the most delicious meals and they came out with a suprise cake and sparkler and also a birthday card for her...the meals were cooked to perfection and delicious. Thank you for making it a special meal for her we really do appreciate it Highly recommended staff very friendly and accommodating.
Lovely place, staff so friendly and food brilliant. Took friends for their birthday and there was a card waiting on the table and a lovely surprise sparkler cake brought at the end of the meal, so thoughtful. Thank you for a lovely day. Xx
Lovely settings but disappointing meal. I ordered homemade steak ale pie which I'm sure wasn't homemade. In fact the lay out of my plate could have been from a canteen. That said the meal was ok.
Heard n read so many good things about this place... So on the strength of that we booked for the festive meal. In a word.... Shocking.. It was basically a frozen dinner warmed up. Auntie Bessie roasters, rock hard hard veg etc. Needless to say we won't be going again. No apology, no discount, nothin. Ahhh well, you live n learn eh!!. 1 star for the young waiter who did his his best. Give it a wide berth. Oh yeah nearly forgot.,the bill was 100 quid more than it should've been, soon got that corrected.
We booked the festive menu for 11 people. Waited too long for food..starters was.prawn cocktail and was swimming in sauce... Waited for mains for nearly an hour To be asked if we'd had our mains... and it was shocking...frozen veg and roasties, too much stuffing not enough turkey... Pink bacon and sausage... Decided against having a sweet so asked for the bill... Wrong bill was given which was £100 more than we actually paid.. No apology given except by the young waiter who served us who'd been sent over by the manager... Needless to say we WILL NOT be returning. Very disappointed.
Our walking group had a pleasant lunch here today, it was quite warm here busy but not noisy . Making conversation with ease top marks for the food had to wait but as there was 13 of us but it didn't seem too matter.
Although it was busy waitresses attended to our drinks and food orders. Very pleasant staff and food was excellent at a price a nearby eatery might consider
My Husband and I have visited the Redmore Inn on several occasions, the food was excellent so we decided to try there homemade Sunday lunch, was very disappointed, when the food finally arrived I was surprised that the roasters and veg were frozen , to top it off the veg itself was completely cold as if they had been taken out of the water and left on the side why the rest of the food was cooked ,I sent them back to the kitchen where I believe they where heated back up in the microwave, the young waitress apologised and looked embarrassed, also there were two very thin slices of meat , i would have expected better value for money at £14.95 per head , so so disappointed
