First ever visit today and it was lovely. Friendly atmosphere and really clean. Dawn and her lovely sidekick - don't know her name were really friendly. Ryan on the carvery was so smiley and happy to help and chat as it was quiet. Food was really nice very filling and hot. Would definitely recommend this place.

My husband and I recently went to the newly refurbished red lion.
We had breakfast on the Sunday, I have to say was very enjoyable tasty and priced very reasonable.bonus was refillable drinks very good.
The following Sunday having had a busy day decided to go for Sunday roast, have to say was not expecting it to be as good as it was, very tasty and hot, will definitely be going back.
We have once again recommended to family and friends.
And to finish the staff were very happy to serve with no trouble and very happy faces all round.

Just had a late tea with my great nephew..We had spicy prawns for starters yummy. Chicken burger and Brad said no lettuce no tomato and no mayo on his and his request was met ( he said it was rrally nice ) I ordered Hoisen Duck skinny pizza and that was lovely. Add to that all you can eat salads and sides. We we're very happy.  The staff are all lovely especially Jan 😊😊

Nicely updated since Stonehouse took over. The food arrives quickly and hot and you have access to the salad bar and veg/accompaniments of the carvery section with your main meal if you want. I love the new pizzas, the hoisin duck one is amazing! Also the brie wedges with cranberry dip are a must try! Monday to Saturday you can also get desserts for £1.75 when ordered at the same time as your main and they allowed me to change the sauce I wanted on the waffle. JAN is a lovely waitress who was very polite with all customers, always had a smile and chatted with customers. However, the lady with dark hair behind the bar needs to crack a smile and work on her customer service. Thanks to Jan I've still left 5 stars but if we had only dealt with the dark haired lady I would have put it down to 3! Will visit again.

Me and my friends meet here twice a year and have a great early evening meal and drink.  It doesn't cost the earth and the staff are very friendly and helpful. A good place to go with families. It's been refurbed since the last time I was here and the place looks really nice. I'd recommend it.
