Never before in my long history of visiting a Weatherspoon's pub have i been told that ordering 20 shots is too much and i would have to wait an hour before i could order again, bearing in mind there were four of us, 20 shots is not a lot. So much so they even had the audacity to refund a round because it was too soon after order the 20 shots. The staff are rude, stuck up and damn right arrogant, to say that is a pub is an understatement! I would personally avoid this place if you want to sit down, in a corner, being quite and enjoying time with your mates, if you want to only have one drink and be on your way, this is the place for you.nWent to the Lumley across the road, who served us what we wanted at the same price.... Sorted!
Quality of the food here is good, and we have never not eaten an item because of a quality issue. Staff are very polite and friendly, but there is usually a 15-30 minute wait for food. Tables are not always cleared after the last customers so on occasion you have to ask for them to be cleared or move plates onto a different table.
I just popped in for breakfast it was great very reasonably priced and was well-cooked Staff were great, toilets were clean as was the rest of the bar I enjoyed my visit.
We ordered 2 mixed grills with different steaks but servers didn't know which was which. Some of the food was cold and we had to clean and tidy our own table. Fresh food was brought out, but took ages. Was expensive for the service and food and we also had to clean somewhere before we could sit.
Food comes out cold. Small portion of chips with steak and nothing else. Steak tasted nice but was stone cold and had hard fat on the side. Burgers are a bit small. Someone had their chicken in their curry raw waited at the side for so long then a server blamed it on the place being busy when it wasn’t even busy. They also don’t like cleaning the pots it be all over the tables and the side of the bar even at the back they were stacked up. It’s only good if you want a cheap cold meal and a chance of it being raw
