Very good restaurant and pub. Yanks looking for quality British cuisine will be pleasantly surprised. All the food and beverage were quality products. The staff were quite helpful and attentive. The facilities are clean. The experience was enjoyable as our space felt as though it were own, private refuge. The restaurant was quiet though busy.

Had room 1. It was large, warm and bright. The ensuite bathroom was modern an there were plenty of towels and lots of hot water. The bar and restaurant were welcoming and very cosy. Lots of beams and interesting artifact's, paintings etc to look at. The hosts amd staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food was really nice. A great relaxing place to stay.

Different, just nice, friendly nice atmosphere looking forward to going back to try the food, the food was recommended by a tourist

Very nice, beautiful place. Rating it a four for an odd reason - it's not pub fare. We went to a pub for dinner and found a more upscale restaurant. This is good, if you are looking for a classy place with table service and unique dishes (well presented) but is a little bit of a let down if you are stopping at a pub to grab some fish and chips and a beer. Probably a five for dining, certainly a four as a simple pub. Plan to have a nice sit down meal for dinner if you are choosing the Red Lion.

Fantastic place, warm friendly staff and a true cosy country pub. Would 100% recommend.
