A traditional pub with wood stove, beams and a great atmosphere.  The beer was also superb and the landlord very chatty. As I have now moved to the village of Acomb, I am pleased to say, this is now my new local.

We chose this place because we looked at the comprehensive and interesting menu on line. When we arrived the menu offered was nothing like that published on line. A very uninteresting and limited choice bearing no resemblance to that published. Suggest the actual menu available is put on line so that others are not as disappointed as we were.
