Had a very special weekend swanning around Swanage and Studland. Hermitage Guest house made it even more magical. It was peaceful, homely, comfy, a little gem. Lovely owners and the room was just as we had hoped. A perfect place for a romantic getaway for two. We were happy to be hermits at the hermitage!

Had the most lovely time at the Hermitage. The place has a lot of charm and the owners were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. We were at first concerned after having read a bad review, but I am so happy we ignored it. Best weekend I've had in a long time! Thank you! Hoping to return some time :)

The worst B&B I have ever stayed in, the owner was rude and obnoxious, and insisted we pay for a second night there when we decided to leave earlier than planned, even though it is not specified that there is a minimum stay of 2 nights. The shower was awkward, with the temperature gage on the outside of the shower so you had to get out to change the temperature, and to reach the toilet had to edge past the shower, positioned in the middle of the narrow bathroom, and once you had used the toilet had to then go back to your room to be able to wash your hands. The beds were hard and at least 20 years old, a double duvet had been put inside a kingsize cover so you were left with plenty of material and not much quilt. The pillows were paper thin, I found myself putting my towels underneath to stop the blood from rushing to my head. The 'free' tea and coffee, consisted of a pot with 4 tea bags, 4 sachets of coffe and long life UHT milk, not very pleasant. The breakfast was not fulfilling and did not set you up for the day. Overall an unpleasant stay, certainly not worth the money. The owner is extremely rude and not at all welcoming. I will not be returning next year.
