Great Wetherspoons. Plenty of tables available inside and out we visited on a weekday evening in the school holidays food was brought out quickly and very nice. Man behind the bar was friendly esp as we had a few requests for food changes no cheese etc bathrooms were clean. And car park available right outside for a fee
Thought we'd try this place as we were passing and our friends have used it. Bigger inside that we expected. It seems you find a table and order from the bar or app. The food was good for the price. The staff were pleasant and helpful. We said we'd go there again if in the area.
I recommend the very affordable and satisfying breakfast, which includes free coffee refills. The bar also offers a great selection of reasonably priced drinks, including many local beers and ciders served from casks. The staff were very friendly.nnThe walls are decorated with interesting posters about local historic buildings and notable people.
I never normally leave reviews but I feel like this place deserves a mention. Was driving from london to southampton with my family and stopped of here for a drink and a meal and me and my family have never been to such a lovely wetherspoons. The place was spotless and our server Connor was so helpful and sweet when talking to us all. He went out of his way to accommodate for our needs and make sure we were comfortable and happy with our time there. We have been to many spoons across the country as a family but the service we received from Connor was above all.
We stopped off at the pub for some breakfast during a journey. Well, the service of ordering the food which was by the assistant manager was not as expected he was blunt and not friendly at all, it seemed as though he couldn’t care that we were there. On another note the breakfast was quick, however was practically cold we would rather wait longer for it to be warm. The breakfast was a reasonable price. The staff were nice, we did ask for an extra plate from the assistant manager when ordering looked as though he put a note, although the plate didn’t come with the food, however the staff rectified the problem and delivered the extra plate with no questions asked. All in all not very pleased. I work in hospitality so know what I’m talking about.
