Outstanding pool with amazing facilities and staff! The life guards are constantly alert so you and children always feel safe in the pool! I've seen them deal with many scenarios and are calm and professional. Brilliant safeguarding to all. Fab management! Amazing coffee too xx
It’s very important to keep children safe around water but the deputy managers on shift who are also life guards unfortunately wouldn’t allow my 4 year old, who competes in galasto swim anywhere other than the ‘baby cornered off section’ he has been a strong swimmer since he was 2 and we are members at langstone pool and arundel lido which are both fantastic and much larger.nnThe life guards were power hungry and blew their whistle continuously with attitude at anyone and everyone for simply enjoying themselves. They made the rules up as they went along and didn’t care that my 4 year old could swim only that they were able to make the rules. He proved he could swim a length and tread water but they wanted to be ‘right’.nnUnpleasant experience, don’t recommend.
Amazing staff, great facilities, always clean in and around the pool, changing rooms and toilets. A perfect place to be on a lovely day! Very alert and friendly lifeguards.
A really smashing 25m, heated outdoor pool. Best to book in advance via their website. Paking in the festival hall car park free on Sundays and the lido is in an unassuming building at the end of the car park. Hot showers available in the toilets the one by the pool is cold. Retro outdoor changing cubicles. No lockers, so don't take valuables. Pool is clean, as are the surrounding areas. Coffee from the poolside tuck-shop is good. Staff are friendly. Seasonal opening for a heated pool, so get a dip while you can!
Lifeguards are too immature to make balanced decisions on whether a child can swim or not. It would be very unusual for a mother to say their child was ok if they were in any doubt whatsoever, as to drown would be devastating. Our little one is little but has been swimming competently since he was two and half, which was one and a half years ago. He can tread water for over an hour and knows the safe position of being on his back. He was upset to be treated badly here. Safety is paramount and should be taken seriously, but really common sense should prevail. Go to Arundel next time.
