It’s currently a 1 start due to the poor excuse for a closure. To call ahead because of good weather when your driving down from Birmingham wouldn’t usually be expected. Thankfully the trip wasn’t wasted as Black Pearl Vinyl was open in Gloucester! Yay.. I do hope to return and upgrade the review to a stonking 5 stars!
Very friendly record shop turned up slightly late, and was able to look and browse an extra 45 minutes, perfect customer service if any issues with records full refund given.
Turned up and the door was open. Was told that they are closing two hours early and wouldn’t let us in. Felt like an Arthur Scargill moment. I was looking for 70s vinyl not a 70s style strike.
On hearing this shop had something i was after i made contact to which reply was quick and thorough. Super little shop just shame didnt have time to stay and have a mooch as i had to get back to the midlands! Thanks very much.
Awesome record shop located on Bath road in the lovely Cheltenham. Martyn was very knowledgeable and a pleasant chat all round!
Never seems to be open. Even the hours advertised on the website seem to be a rough guide rather than adhered to. Shame.
I would love to work here. It's like something out of a piece of fiction. A small shop tucked away, catering to vinyl enthusiasts. I bet they have a group of "regulars" like any pub. A sitcom could be based on it wait, there was already a film along the same lines I think. We will miss places like this one day. An independent place, friendly, knows its customers and makes them feel at home. Replaced by a giant superstore. Definitely come visit and keep it going!!!!
Great little store, with plenty of great second hand records. Just the fix for a vinyl junkie.
I've only been in here once and hope to come again soon on a weekend but it's a friendly little record shop.
Good selection of records, great prices and location, and a friendly place to visit. I just wish I still lived over the road from it!
