This pub serves decent real ales which always is an indicator of standards. The food menu is reasonably priced and offers a good selection of home cooked food. Try the Scouse, flavoursome with good lean meat.

Nice and simple! Went there for a Sunday roast. Nothing amazing, but tasty and a menu at a very good price. Worth to try together with your pint!

Nice small pub. Good price on the ales and food. However because of its small size it can get quite cramped later on during a busy day. Nice atmosphere all around really. Enjoyable place to have a quick drink with friends.

Traditional, friendly city centre pub in the commercial district. Books and crannies rather than more common open plan. Decent real ales but not cheap. Can be very busy on Friday evenings.

Wonderful food, drink and friendly staff. The building itself is wonderful too. A really good example of Victoria Pub architecture. It's also very reasonably priced.
