I had my son's surprise 21st party at the Farmers and the experience was second to none thanks to Anne and all the staff. The food was amazing, as well as the drink! Anne helped me pull off the surprise by doing everything for me from balloons to banners and food. I would highly recommend having a party at the Farmers to anyone and hope to go to many more there. Even when some of the guests were dancing with drinks staff didn't complain, they danced with mops! Job well done, thank you very much Anne and all the staff.

Had a funeral wake for my Dad and Anne and her team were fantastic, the food was great as well as the venue. Nothing was too much trouble and the tables was laid out beautifully. My Mum was really comforted on a very difficult day. Well done Anne and many thanks xx

Have had funeral buffet here, Xmas nights out and been to Mother’s Day event here for the last three years running. Could not fault this pub, extremely well run, professional service and Management simply cannot do enough to ensure you enjoy your visit. With friends spread over the city this pub has become our go to venue should we have an occasion to celebrate or mark. We no longer make trips to town and find the farmers to be a safe and comfortable pub for our family and friends. Keep up the good work I say, pubs like yours are in short supply. A community pub that is run for the community brilliant and professional Management Team. See you soon

The Farmers Arms is the heart of the local community, I read a review from Joan Williams who was in there on Mothers Day criticising the pub. Saying there was plenty of underage drinking, and they all gather at the far end of the darts room, All them young lads are over 18 or the staff wouldn't serve them FACT, Mothers day was a fantastic day and evening as was St.Patricks Day, Joan Williams has left three other reviews on Google, she has criticised them all, does she not know how to enjoy herself ? If your thinking of hiring the function room which is free to hire and have the in house buffet you will not be disappointed, the food is amazing and the hospitality is also as good as the food, as the management and staff will be as helpful as possible, and I'm sure your event will go, without a hitch
