I visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday as a Mothers Day gift to my Mum. When we arrived at the establishment, we were asked if we were there for the 'Meal Deal' to which I replied no, we are there for a normal meal. To put it in few words, the service we received was terrible. The reasons for this and why I am posting this review are: I booked the table over the phone for 5:30 pm and we only got the table at 5:49 pm The waitress on shift upstairs told us it was a set meal, which at no point on the phone was I advised of - If I had been I wouldn't have booked. I explained this & asked for a menu which we were provided with. After placing our order, we had to sit there & listen to both the chef on shift & the waitress rant loudly about how ridiculous this was. I have never been made to feel more uncomfortable at a public place by a member of staff. The chef shouted about us to the other members of staff the whole way through our meal, when I asked to take some stuff home, she made me feel that embarrassed I ended up not taking it. The only thing separating us from the kitchen was a glass partition, so the chef knew fully well we could hear her, but didn't care either way - I have never known anything so rude. I will not be returning or recommending to anyone, I am appalled at the way we were treated - it ruined my Mothers day gift to my Mum.

Pub very cold. Coffee was instant and lukewarm. Food mostly inedible, had the steak and ale pie and found only one piece of meat. Mashed potato was cold, asked staff to heat it and it took a while, on return the pastry had set rock hard. Not very impressed at all

Lovely place to relax have a catch up with family and friends and a great menu and kids menu. Lovely friendly helpful staff also.

Its a great place when i last called in it was busy mixed ages good beer bar snacks The was a food spread on really nice Big car park lovely staff well done well Worth a visit good locals to ( kit) ??
