"friendly independent pub restaurant in the picturesque North Downs of Kent, then look no further. Located in between everywhere from Maidstone to Canterbury, Sittingbourne to Ashford; why not leave the towns behind and escape to the country. With local beers, wines & ciders plus a vast selection of gins, rums & whiskies to suit all tastes, all in our family-run pub. The menu is full of all those favourite treats, offering a balance of traditional dishes and those with a special twist. We believe in sourcing our ingredients as locally as possible and always of a high quality. Our main menus change seasonally and our blackboard of specials changes from day to day, and last but by no means least don’t forget the traditional Sunday roast!"

Everything about this place is lush! Marianne is such a tentative host. The food is delicious but the surroundings top it off. Absolutely love it here. I've done solo trips and with friends and the fact I keep coming back speaks volumes.Rooms: 5/5
10/10 would highly recommend! As a large group of 18 for a hen party, communication was amazing from the word go. We had an afternoon tea here yesterday and everything was just perfect, the venue was beautiful and the food far exceeded our expectations! The food was absolutely delicious and very filling and the whole group spent the day commenting on how enjoyable it was! Thank you again all the waiting and kitchen staff at the Plough Inn for a lovely afternoon!
Outstanding stay, fabulous hospitality they go above and beyond to make sure everything is just perfect. Food is stunning, service was lovely. Rooms are gorgeous, with a barn feel to them, over looking the beautiful countryside. There’s a lovely quaint living room with Sofa, Tv, table and chairs above the bedroom. This suite was absolutely spotless, and the breakfast hamper is actually room service- delivered hot, with fresh coffee, orange juice and set up by the lovely Marianne in the living room area, such a lovely touch. Will definitely be returning .
Excellent food. Excellent service and a beautiful venue in a lovely rural setting. We have a dog and asked for a table at very short notice. They then rang back and said they had moved a few tables around so they are very accommodating. We will be back!Service: 5/5
Had a fantastic Saturday night stay here, great service and beer/gins at the bar in the afternoon, superb evening meal, rooms were lovely and well thought out and presented. Breakfast brought to our room and set out which was delicious. We will be back. Rooms: 5/5
What an absolute gem of a pub to find by chance. The building is beautiful, great service and the food was fantastic. If I was in the area again I would revisit in a heartbeat. Thanks so much for looking after us.Service: 5/5
Very high standard of food and service, we enjoyed our Saturday evening visit greatly. Food all cooked fresh to order and very good burger was fantastic. All set within a well preserved and presented pub. We will definitely return to try out the Sunday lunch. Update: 15th June 2023 Popped in for a lovely lunch. As before, excellent, highly recommend. Will be back again.
What an amazing stay. Firstly - the fish and chips were the best I’ve ever had. Special shout out to Freya who was the most wonderful server, attentive, friendly and made the experience five star. I was up too early to enjoy breakfast and when mentioned to staff, I was given freshly cooked pastries from the chef. What a thoughtful touch! The accommodation was faultless; clean, spacious, just beautiful. I couldn’t recommend this enough and hope to return one day leisurely rather than on business. Thank you all!
We enjoyed every moment of our stay! Delicious food! Tasty breakfast! Good restful nights....Rooms: 5/5
After running late from a big traffic jam, getting lost in the country roads, running low on petrol and flustering with our new born the staff was fantastic. We was due to come at 2.10pm and didn't arrive until 2.45pm we was both very worried and stressed from our journey and the staff made us feel at ease and very welcome even though we was late. The food was very good with good menu options being a Sunday I went for a Chicken roast dinner. It tasted amazing and the presentation was very good even though the kitchen closed at 3pm being late nothing was compromised for us. This pub defiantly deserves 5 stars from the staff, service, food and baby compliments alone. We will be coming back and maybe book a room next time.
